Description

  • Bentley History: Around 1919, W.O. Bentley had started up his company of Bentley Motors after the first World War. Founded in the UK, the headquarters located in Crewe, England, these cars have proven themselves in Le Mans, a well-known race endurance race five time by 1930.
  • Winning first in 1924, then from 1927 till 1930, their credibility skyrocketed, as well as sales. In 2003, Bentley had won its sixth Le Mans race.
  • The models were created with one of two ideals in mind: luxury or performance. Should one try to satisfy both of these, they will find that it is rather contradictory.
  • Since 1988, Bentley has been owned by Volkswagen AG.
  • Currently, each year Bentley Motors offers over 150 internships to students within the Crewe area. With each handmade car, a majority of its fund go to the Cheshire Community Foundation.
  • Usually Bentley models have a modest and classic design, keeping rather similar looks to each car. With subtle changes, the models typically bear a tall front and chassis with a broad width. The length of the cars are usually long, some even looking as if they could be a mini limousine.
  • The interiors have consisted of leather, wood, metal, and deep-pile carpets throughout the years.
