  • Aston Martin History: In 1913, two men by the name of Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin had founded their company by the title of Bamford & Martin LTD, first becoming known to the public by 1914.
  • By 1922, Aston Martin had began to enter in overseas competitions, including Le Mans race of 1928, winning both the 1928 and the 1933 race by a clean sweep.
  • Production was fast and ever growing. By 1947, the David Brown Era came about, causing for the company to be seized by an English industrialist. All throughout till the 1980’s, Aston Martin cars had raced and won a plethora of competitions.
  • In 1981, however, the company had changed the ownership to Victor Gauntlett and Pace Petroleum.
  • Seven years later, the Ford Motor Company also stepped into the company, having a hold on a 75% stake. Once the James Bond films came out in the 1990’s, Aston Martin had shown within, having created two of the James Bond automobiles.
  • The design of the Aston Martin models tends to keep the racing aspect to their cars. With a rounded, sleek body to maintain aerodynamics, the car has proven it’s models to be superior through races.
  • Unlike other racing cars, the Aston Martin vehicles never tended to be low to the ground.
